Rail Cargo Hungaria's road freight business includes a road warehouse in Győrszemere. To support the business's operations, the company chose not an off-the-shelf product but an application tailored to its own processes, and commissioned BlackBelt to develop it. The project ran from 2023 to 2024.

The operations of a logistics-focused business had to be covered in a single system, from organising shipments through the warehouse to invoicing. The application had to support road freight planning and tracking, the logistics processes of the Győrszemere warehouse, purchasing and sales, partner management and invoicing alike. It also had to connect to the company's SAP enterprise resource planning system and to NAV (the Hungarian tax authority), and produce controlling and operational reports.

BlackBelt developed an ERP-like enterprise application on the JUDO low-code platform, built on Java. The system covers:

– Freight forwarding: road freight planning and shipment tracking – Warehouse: logistics processes of the Győrszemere road warehouse – Purchasing and sales: managing both processes, including partner management – Invoicing: invoicing tasks related to transport and warehousing – Reports: controlling and operational reports – Integration: connection to the SAP enterprise resource planning system and NAV

Three BlackBelt specialists worked on the development for 12 months.

The finished application supports the road freight business in one place: freight planning, warehouse logistics, purchasing and sales, and invoicing all run in the same system. Thanks to the SAP and NAV integrations, the solution fits the company's existing systems, and controlling and operational reports are produced directly from it. The custom system was completed in 12 months by a team of three.
